Paul Montoya, MD
After spending the past 10 years in south Florida working at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, Dr. Montoya is settling down on a farm in the Bradford County area. Montoya is a graduate of Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Neb. Over his nearly 20-year medical career, he has worked in Nebraska and Florida at several hospitals, emergency rooms and medical centers performing minor surgical procedures and overseeing clinical care of patients.
His calling to medicine came after a stint as a financial and investment adviser and service in the military. He is a decorated U.S. Navy veteran, who operated nuclear-powered submarines in San Diego, California.

Alexandra Blanton, MSN, APRN, FNP-C
Alexandra Blanton is a compassionate and results-driven Family Nurse Practitioner with over six years of nursing experience. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing—Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Spring Arbor University in June 2025.
Alexandra brings a strong foundation in perioperative nursing, patient advocacy, and health education, with a focus on evidence-based, holistic care. She has completed over 625 clinical rotation hours across a variety of healthcare settings, refining her expertise in patient assessment, health promotion, and disease prevention.
Known for her dedication to improving care quality and patient satisfaction, Alexandra excels in mentoring, teamwork, and implementing innovative strategies to enhance clinical outcomes and streamline care delivery.

Angel Cooksey, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC
A graduate of Chamberlain College of Nursing, Angel is a compassionate and dedicated health care provider who began her nursing career at UF Health Shands Hospital in medical/surgical care settings.
A Starke resident, caring for patients has been a passion of hers. Angel looks forward to providing holistic care to area neighbors, residents and friends.
Angel joined Village Doctors in July of 2023, beginning in one of our Keystone Heights offices before moving to the Starke office full-time.
